New business won by Commercial Union, the insurance and pensions giant, rose 21 per cent to £1.584 billion sterling in the first half of this year, it said yesterday.
New annual premiums rose 38 per cent to £154 million, new single premiums were up 17 per cent at £1.224 billion and sales of investment products rose 28 per cent to £206 million. - (PA)
