A Cork-based company, DD Williamson, has been selected as one of seven finalists for the European Quality Award for small and medium-sized enterprises.

DD Williamson is an American-owned company which manufactures caramel colour for use in the food and drinks industry. The plant at Little Island, Co Cork, has 30 employees.

The award will be presented by Her Majesty, the Queen of Sweden, in Stockholm on September 18th.
