NIB secures orders against company

National Irish Bank has secured €8

National Irish Bank has secured €8.3 million summary judgment orders on consent against a property company arising from an unpaid loan allegedly guaranteed by the solicitor and businessman Noel Smyth.

The bank’s claim for €9.6 million judgment orders against Mr Smyth over that guarantee, plus his guarantee of a loan to a second company, will be heard later.

Danske Bank, trading as National Irish Bank, had brought proceedings against two companies – Monway and Fitzwilliam Finance Corporation – both with registered offices at Arkle Road, Sandyford, Dublin; and Mr Smyth, Lisieux Hall, Murphystown Road, Sandyford, Dublin.
