Cahill seeks another year

Foods group Greencore will seek shareholder approval to allow chairman Mr Bernie Cahill to serve another year

Foods group Greencore will seek shareholder approval to allow chairman Mr Bernie Cahill to serve another year. Mr Cahill is 70 and under Greencore's articles of association is no longer eligible for appointment. Greencore, however, will ask next month's annual general meeting to change the articles of association to allow Mr Cahill to serve one more year as chairman.

Greencore's annual report shows that the three executive directors - chief executive Mr David Dilger, finance director Mr Kevin O'Sullivan and Mr Ben Power - received combined remuneration of #1.2 million (£952,000) last year. The seven non-executive directors shared fees of #305,000.
