Millions of pounds worth of pension funds managed by New Ireland before its takeover by Bank of Ireland have since moved to rival companies. A £200 million portion of the Telecom Eireann pension fund has transferred to Irish Life and Ulster Bank Investment Managers and SIPTU's £60 million staff pension has moved to UBIM and Friends Provident.
