B of I reduces interest rates

Bank of Ireland has announced a round of reductions in its loan and deposit rates, effective from October 16th

Bank of Ireland has announced a round of reductions in its loan and deposit rates, effective from October 16th. Among the rates affected is its standard variable home loan rate, which will fall to 5.24 per cent from 5.64 per cent.

This means the bank will have passed on cuts of 0.6 of a percentage point in the wake of ECB rate reductions totalling 0.75 percentage points.
