AIB's Polish subsidiary has informed the Stock Exchange that it has no direct exposure to Russia or any of the former Soviet republics by way of sovereign lending, bank credit lines, corporate credit lines, syndicated loans, trade finance or any other form of banking risk.

Wielkopolski Bank Kredytowy (WBK) said there was no evidence at this stage to suggest that its clients had significant exposure to any of these regions or that provisions might be required on loans to such clients as a result of these exposures.
