ZAGREB, second favourite for next Sunday's Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe, pleased his trainer Dermot Weld in his final workout at the Curragh on Saturday.
"He galloped over to furlongs under Michael Kinane with Humbel and two pacemakers, and I was satisfied with his work.
He did not do anything spectacular, and he needed it, but I was pleased with him," said Weld.
"That is the first time I have been able to work him on grass since he won the Irish Derby. It has been so dry over here I have not been prepared to take a risk with him on firm ground.
"That's it now, his preparation is complete. He will have just one more sharp piece of work before travelling over to France later in the week."
Zagreb, brilliant winner of the premier Irish Classic on only his third public appearance, is the leading hope from Ireland and Britain to upset Helissio, hot favourite for the Arc.
Weld has had two previous runners in the race, Blue Wind and Market Booster, both of whom finished unplaced.
Both those fillies went for the Arc at the end of a long and successful campaign. Zagreb is going into it as a fresh horse," added Weld.
