PGA TOUR: Play was suspended because of strong winds in the Heritage Classic final round at Hilton Head, South Carolina yesterday shortly after the lead group teed off.
American Jerry Kelly, one shot clear overnight, was on the green in two at the par-four first when gusts up to 30 mph forced action to be halted.
Players were told to leave the Harbour Town Golf Links and the driving range and practice putting green were closed until further notice.
Kelly, seeking his first PGA Tour title since the 2002 Western Open, grabbed a one-stroke lead at 13 under par after shooting a four-under-par 67 in Saturday's third round.
South African Ernie Els (71) and American Kevin Na (66) were tied for second place and paired with Kelly in Sunday's final group.
SA TOUR: Young gun Chris Swanepoel was every inch the deserving winner at the Eskom Power Cup at Pecanwood, lifting his maiden Sunshine Tour title with a virtually flawless final round 66 yesterday.
Three ahead at the start of the day, an impressive eagle and five birdies helped Swanepoel to a healthy four stroke victory over Warren Abery, who finished alone in second.
Swanepoel signed off on 17-under-par 199 total, the largest winning margin of the 2007 Sunshine Tour season.
Former Telkom PGA and Nashua Masters champion Abery produced an excellent run of five birdies down the home stretch for a 64 that saw him finish one stroke ahead of James Kamte.
