AIL Final: A video replay system will be used at Lansdowne Road on Saturday to assist referee Alain Rolland in the All-Ireland League final between Cork Constitution and Dungannon.

Following the controversy surrounding John Kelly's disallowed try in Munster's European Cup semi-final defeat to Stade Francais, the IRFU have moved quickly to ensure that nothing similar occurs.

In addition to the RTE television cameras there will be four remote control cameras which have zoom lenses and a 180-degree sweep. The replays will be monitored by Rev David Tyndall, a regular AIL referee.

Match referee Rolland has just been included on the International Rugby Board.

Ulster Signing: Lions lock Jeremy Davidson has confirmed he will return to Ulster next season. He is to leave the French club Castres after a three-year stint and will join the provincial squad following the Lions tour to Australia.

Super 12: Australian centre Stirling Mortlock is to miss the Test series against the Lions. Mortlock dislocated his left shoulder scoring a try for the ACT Brumbies in their Super 12 semi-final win over Queensland last week, and will also miss Saturday's final in Canberra against South Africa's Sharks. He is not expected to play again until next year.

The Brumbies have named suspended forward Owen Finegan in their 26-man squad for the final. Finegan was banned for five weeks after stamping on the head of Queensland hooker Michael Foley during the semi-final, but an appeal will be heard in Sydney on Thursday.
