IT’S FAIR to say Britain’s Josh Goodall is a partisan Chelsea fan, particularly after revealing that he has named his racquets after various players. He divulged this information at a press conference following his first-round defeat at Wimbledon to Grega Zemlja.

The 26-year-old explained: “I want my racquets named after Chelsea players. I’ve Drogba.”

What others?

I added (Edin) Hazard and I’ve got (John) Terry, (Frank) Lampard and David Luiz just to name a few. I used Torres today. Maybe that’s where I went wrong?”

While joking that he had named one after Chelsea’s eccentric defender Luiz for when he is feeling “a bit crazy”, the Basingstoke man said: “I need to do it because I need to know what racquets are which.”

No one ascertained whether Drogba would remain in the bag now that he’s left Stamford Bridge for more lucrative pastures in China.
