Frozen greens and the inclement weather failed to stop Joe Healion at Castle Barna last weekend. The 18-handicapper made light of the conditions to win his first competition at the club when he shot 42 points for the 15 holes. Played on temporary greens with temporary tees, the 29-year-old scored 21 points on the first eight holes with the help of a birdie four at the eight and started for home with another birdie at the 10th. This was followed by five pars before he conceded a shot at the last. Healion's gross 63 for the 15 holes represents a round of three over par.
