AN AMAZING four-goal blitz inside 13 minutes brought St Patrick's Athletic from 2-0 down as they turned this game on its head at Richmond Park last night to leapfrog Bohemians into third place in the table.
A brace of first-half goals from winger Padraig Moran appeared to have Sligo Rovers in control but once Eddie Gormley dispatched a 65th minute penalty, the St Patrick's revival went into top gear.
Sligo took the lead after 27 minutes. John Kenny's deep cross from the right was controlled and knocked back across goal to Moran who cleverly beat Packie, Lynch and calmly shot past Gareth Byrne.
Moran's second 10 minutes later came when, following Tony Kelly's corner, the ball ran kindly to Moran some 15 yards out and he drilled the ball through a crowded goalmouth and into the net.
St Patrick's were thrown a lifeline when Gormley nonchalantly chipped home a penalty after Ian Lynch handled inside the area.
Six minutes later Ricky O'Flaherty rose well to head home the equaliser from Willie Burke's precise cross. Shortly afterwards, O'Flaherty's superb ball in from the left found Martin Reilly who calmly shot past Nicky Brujos to put St Patrick's in front. Reilly then ran clear onto a long defensive clearance to score the fourth.
