St Patrick's School, Navan, ran in two tries to beat Sandford Park at Westmanstown. St Patrick's opened the scoring after 22 minutes when Ronan Conaty sent full-back Philip Treacy over in the corner. Brian McCormack missed the conversion. Three minutes before the break, McCormack landed a penalty from just outside the 22, to make it 8-0 at half time. Sandford Park got back in the game six minutes after the restart when out-half Ian Cairns landed a penalty from the 22.

Six minutes from time St Patrick's sealed victory when John Baker score the second try.
