LEINSTER COLLEGES SHC A ROUND THREE/St Kieran's, Kilkenny 2-17 Dublin South 0-7:FIRST-HALF goals from Kieran Prendergast and David Bourke saw the visitors record a comprehensive victory over Dublin South at the Sancta Maria grounds in Rathfarnham yesterday.

Missing many of their main players, Dublin South were very competitive in the early stages with James Roche and Paul Doherty cancelling out two early efforts by the visitors. St Kieran’s, who featured four of the Kilkenny minors, hit a number of wides as well as dropping a number of balls into the goalkeeper’s hands.

Their dominance however, was to pay off with five minutes to go in the half when Prendergast goaled before Bourke found the net to leave St Kieran’s ahead by 2-8 to 0-5 at the break.

St Kierans were never troubled after that with eight different players registering scores after the break
