DONEGAL SFC FINAL: St Eunan's 0-13 Naomh Conail 0-7:ST EUNAN'S collected their third Donegal championship in a row when they easily accounted for Naomh Conaill at MacCumhaill Park, Ballybofey, yesterday.
Brendan Devenney collected the Dr Maguire Cup for the second time and it was his and the club’s 10th Donegal final in 12 years.
The Letterkenny men were a point in front by the break, 0-5 to 0-4, as the Glenties men failed to raise a flag in the second quarter.
St Eunan’s also had two goal chances, with John McKenna denying them with a last-ditch tackle after a great run by Devenney, while Cillian Morrison drove wide of goal as half-time approached.
The second half saw St Eunan’s continue to dominate, especially in the midfield exchanges where John Haran, playing in his ninth county final, was dominant.
Ciarán Greene and Conall Dunne had edged the Letterkenny men three clear before Naomh Conaill lost captain Anthony Thompson to a second yellow card.
