Soccer:Mark Hughes is favourite to become Aston Villa's next boss with reports suggesting Gerard Houllier's departure.

The Birmingham Mailreported this morning that Houllier was leaving Villa Park by mutual consent following his recent health problems. The club has yet to comment.

However, the story prompted more interest in the next Villa manager betting, with current Fulham boss Hughes the latest name to be throw in the hat.

Hughes led Fulham to an eighth-placed Premier League this season - his first in charge at Craven Cottage. The Londoners also qualified for the Europa Legaue via the fair play table.
