Sir Alex Ferguson has refused to rule out the possibility of bringing in another new face to bolster his Manchester United squad during the current transfer window.
Ferguson has already spent £12million on defensive duo Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra but it was expected those deals would conclude United's transfer business until the summer.
But it is well known the Red Devils chief is on the look-out for a central midfielder to replace departed skipper Roy Keane and it is becoming increasingly likely Thomas Gravesen will leave Real Madrid before the month is over.
Both United and Gravesen's agent John Sivebaek have denied reports in Denmark which claimed a Red Devils bid has already been lodged. But, after last night's 1-1 Carling Cup draw with Blackburn, Ferguson has admitted he is still window shopping.
"It is possible we could have one more," he said. "We are looking at some things at the moment.
But I am very happy with the two signings I have made. They give us great defensive cover and they are both really good players."
Neither Vidic nor Evra were involved at Ewood Park, although both could be in contention for a place in Ferguson's squad for Saturday's Manchester derby at Eastlands.
Last night they missed a pulsating, blood and guts cup-tie which maintained Blackburn's recent impressive record against United and gives them genuine hope of facing either Wigan or Arsenal at the Millennium Stadium on February 28th.
Louis Saha put the visitors in front with a well-taken effort but the Frenchman's fourth Carling Cup strike of the campaign was bettered by Morten Gamst Pedersen.
The Norwegian rifled home brilliantly after racing onto Shefki Kuqi's flick, netting his third against United this term after his match-winning double at Old Trafford in September.
