Dublin see red as Bohs jump into eighth

Bohemians leapt ahead of Dublin City this evening thanks to a 2-1 win over their co-habitants at Dalymount Park.

Bohemians leapt ahead of Dublin City this evening thanks to a 2-1 win over their co-habitants at Dalymount Park.

Stephen Ward and Barry Ferguson gave Bohs a two-nil lead after strikes in the fifth and 33rd minutes respectively.

David Freeman scored just before the hour but ten minutes later Dublin's Paul Crowley was shown a red card, before Gavin McDonnell was dismissed moments before the final whistle.

The result means Bohs leapfrog Dublin into eighth place.

In tonight's other game Waterford United and Longford Town finished 0-0.
