Barcelona forward Giovani Dos Santos has signed for Tottenham, the Spanish club have announced.
The 19-year-old Mexico international, who joined Barca in 2002, has signed a five-year contract for a €5.8 million fee, rising to €10.7 million depending on appearances.
Barcelona have retained 20 per cent of any sell-on fee should he move in the first two years of his contract and will take 10 per cent of any transfer if he moves after that.
A statement on Barcelona's website, fcbarcelona.com, read: "FC Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur have come to an agreement for the transfer of Giovani Dos Santos to the English club."
Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted much-admired Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas will not be leaving the Emirates, claiming: "Fabregas will be at Arsenal next season, that looks obvious to me."
Arsenal's hopes of wrestling the Barclays Premier League title away from Manchester United could be boosted if Cristiano Ronaldo does move to Real Madrid.
And Wenger admitted it would be a blow to United if Madrid succeed in getting their man.
He said: "It depends if Manchester United want to sell him or not. He is under contract. In the modern game it is good that any player can go anywhere, but to be successful as a club you need stability."
