The ongoing financial crisis at Cork City has seen a number of staff laid off while the remainder have agreed to interim pay cuts of 70 per cent as efforts continue to save the cash-strapped club.
With the club's future still hanging in the balance due to debts still believed to be in the region of €1.1 million Dave Mooney (Reading) and David Meyler (Sunderland) had already been sold to alleviate the financial strain.
In a statement released today, the remaining players and staff at Turner's Cross accepted the substantial pay cuts as examiner Kieran McCarthy attempts "to guide the club through this difficult time".
"A number of our colleagues have received the sad news that they have been laid off, and our thoughts are with them at this time," it added.
"It is our fervent hope that the club will emerge from these difficulties and we will all do everything in our power to assist in this."
