Sean Davey scored three early points and Ken Killeen added a fourth before Fintan McBrien opened Leitrim's account in the ninth minute.

Sligo, ahead at the interval 0-9 to 0-4, were rattled when Leitrim's Adrian Cullen found the net with 12 minutes remaining. Fintan McBrien and Aidan Rooney added two more points but Brian Walsh's point ensured a Sligo victory.
