Seniors to offer sage advice

The organisers of the West of Ireland Seniors' Championship, which will be held at the East Clare Golf Club from August 14th16th, are encouraging many of the top European Senior Tour players to come to East Clare a few days early to give golf clinics for local junior players. More than half of the Top 25 European Seniors are coming to Bodyke for the first European PGA event to be staged west of the Shannon for more than a decade. The players will play in Pro-Am events on Wednesday and Thursday, with the Seniors' tournament starting on Friday. Among the players confirmed are Joe McDermott, David Jones, Liam Higgins, Peter Townsend, Brian Waites and Eddie Polland.
