Six Ireland internationals named in Pro 12 team of the season

Leinster, Munster and Ulster players named in XV

Six Ireland internationals have been named on the RaboDirect Pro12 team of the season, with Leinster, Munster and Ulster dominating the selection.

In total seven players from the three Irish provinces have been included, five Irish internationals along with Munster centre Casey Laulala and Ulster's Johann Muller, who is named as captain of the side.

Andrew Trimble is named on the left wing, with Muller joined by five Ireland internationals in the pack.

Munster's Dave Kilcoyne is named at loosehead prop, while Seán Cronin is at hooker. And an all-Irish backrow sees Rhys Ruddock and Jordi Murphy included in the flanker positions, with Cardiff Blues and soon to be Munster number eight Robin Copeland completing the line-up.

Wales have five players included in the side, with one each from Scotland, South Africa, New Zealand and Ospreys' Canadian winger Jeff Hassler.

The side was selected by a media panel made up from the four competing nations.
