NFL Division Two A/ Roscommon 2-10 Clare 1-7: A strong second-half display helped Roscommon end Clare's unbeaten league run at Dr Hyde Park yesterday.
Clare started well and had a goal after six minutes, through Rory Donnelly.
Séamus O'Neill did likewise for the home team on 23 minutes and the sides went in at the half-time break level at 1-4 each.
A converted Ger Heneghan penalty three minutes into the second half, after Cathal Cregg was fouled in the area, instilled fresh confidence into Roscommon and they excelled from there.
Points from Cregg, John Tiernan, and Heneghan helped John Maughan's side to a six-point win as Clare had Conor Whelan sent-off towards the end for two yellow cards.
