Restoration has been mixing it with some of the best novice hurdlers in Ireland but can secure a winning chasing debut at Kilbeggan this evening, reports Brian O'Connor.

Noel Meade runs both Denis O'Regan's mount and Hilamar Hotel in the two and a half mile Beginners race and Restoration should find this company a lot easier than what he has been used to recently.

A fourth to De Valira at the Fairyhouse festival was followed by a sixth placing to Clopf at Punchestown. That was a very fast run race so if Restoration isn't feeling the effects of that effort, his overall form makes him the one to beat tonight.

Ruby Walsh teams up with Edward O'Grady for Belord in the opening four-year-old maiden hurdle and a horse rated good enough to run in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham should be up to winning a race of this standard.
