TOMORROW'S AIB All-Ireland club hurling semi-final (Parnell Park, 3.00) sees the return of one of the championship's great names. Eire Og in football, Yet, Rathnure from Wexford have still to win an All-Ireland in five attempts. Opponents, Down champions Ballygalget haven't been this far in 23 years and bring a strong, experienced defence to this match.
Rathnure's prospects are, however, good. The team has an infusion of youth in recent years to add a bit of zip to the solidity of established performers like the Guiney brothers and veteran full back John Conran. Paul Codd's development into one of the most improved inter-county players in the country has also greatly strengthened the side.
