Few stables can match the north Yorkshire yard when it comes to landing a good old fashioned "touch" and the five year old looks handicapped to strike with a vengeance after a fruitless campaign in 1996.

The mare endured some hard luck stories back in 1995 and registered just one win when sent on a raid to Sandown.

Her fortunes proved even more desperate last year, notably when beaten a short head by Mr Bergerac in a poor handicap over six furlongs at Newmrket in July.

That run was off a rating of 77 and she has now dropped to 56 so there's little doubt she's on a favourable mark now. And she posted an eye catching effort when reappearing in a seven furlong race at Catterick last month, coming from well off the pace to finish eight lengths eighth of 19 to Foist.

There's no doubt that Fame Again has been a frustrating character but if she's going to bounce back then today's the day, down into a lowly event and extremely well weighted on her best form.

Silent Miracle looks a solid wager in the Flying Horse Fillies' Maiden. Michael Bell's three year old returned a solid effort at Doncaster last month when one and a half lengths third to Cadeaux Cher. This looks easier and a reproduction of that form should be good enough.

At Wolverhampton, Trojan Risk may be the one ahead of the handicapper in the Tongareva Handicap.
