Vidar Riseth admits the Celtic players are already gearing themselves up for the arrival of their next head coach to avoid being among those caught up in a potentially huge summer clearout.
Leading contender Guus Hiddink was believed to be in his native Holland yesterday in the wake of his sacking from Spanish club Real Betis ahead of possible further discussions on the Celtic vacancy.
Norwegian international Riseth was part of a Celtic side at Dunbdee which recorded their first win since April 5th courtesy of Mark Burchill's ninth-minute strike.
The apparent gulf between the Old Firm indicates sweeping changes could be made during the close season, but Riseth reckons those players who want to stay are ready for the challenge of impressing the new man - be it Hiddink or otherwise.
He said: "We don't know yet what kind of style the new head coach will want to play.
"We want to win the league next season which means the players already at the club have to prove to the new manager that we want to stay, then we will see what he thinks of us."
