Reaction to the season? "Well, the first thing was winning the Munster championship which we set out to do. Finding yourself in an All-Ireland final is a great feeling."

Most memorable match this season? "I suppose beating Cavan getting to the final. It's a real sign of the progress we've made over the last 12 months."

Most difficult? "I knew going into the match that Tipperary were going to be hard to beat because we've struggled big time against them in the last three years."

Best of the rest? "Meath were very unlucky. I was talking to Mark O'Reilly (Meath and Tralee RTC footballer) during the week and he was very disappointed that they'd missed out, but you need a bit of luck at the end of the day and Mayo and Kerry had it."

Is the standard of football improving? "I don't know. There have been cleaner games and the level of fitness is going up every year."

How intense is the media pressure? "On the week to any game it's a little bit tense, but it's about 70 minutes in the game."

Inside View: Seamus MacGearailt (Kerry coach) - "Seamus does all his talking out on the field. He's a key player, a great team man, great to cover and always lively on his feet. Seamus can play in a variety of positions, but he's settling into a pattern at wing back."

Outside view: Martin McHugh (Outgoing Cavan manager) - "Moynihan is an extremely good player, but Kerry tend to give hime the job of marking the best player on the other side. I wouldn't agree with that. He's one of the five or six best players in the country."
