Golf isn't all about prizes. Heath 12-handicapper Alec Bland didn't win anything in his club's Open Week yet it produced two of his most memorable golfing moments.
Last Wednesday he scored his first hole-in-one with a three iron to the 176-yard second and on Sunday he holed out with a three wood for an eagle at the 380-yard par four 18th. The competition was against par and, unfortunately, a three would have been just as useful but we're sure Sunday lunch tasted a little better.
