NEWS ROUND-UP:THE DISMISSAL of Kilmacud Crokes defender Kevin Nolan during his side's All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Crossmaglen Rangers last month has been rescinded by the Central Hearings Committee.

Waterford referee Maurice Condon deemed Nolan was guilty of a second bookable offence during the first half of the game in Navan last month.

The dismissal of Rangers centre back Danny O’Callaghan was already struck off on appeal within days of the game, allowing the player to take his place in the All-Ireland final on St Patrick’s Day.

Elsewhere, young Cork star Rory O’Sullivan could miss the entire Munster and All-Ireland under-21 football championship with suspected cruciate ligament damage. The Argideen Rangers youngster enjoyed an exceptional year in 2010, when he was corner back for the Cork Under-21s as well as winning three All-Ireland medals, with the Cork Vocational Schools representative side in football, and in both codes for Clonakilty Community College.
