LEITRIM FOOTBALL: LEITRIM HAVE appointed Mickey Moran and John Morrison - the management team that took Mayo to the 2006 All-Ireland final - to take charge of the county footballers in succession to Des Dolan.

The news was announced last night on the Leitrim GAA website. Moran and Morrison also worked together as a management team in Derry and Donegal.

Derryman Moran previously had charge of Sligo and was coach with Eamonn Coleman in his own county when they won the All-Ireland in 1993.

Moran served as part of Colm O'Rourke's Ireland management team in the International Rules series in 1998 and 1999 and recently has been in charge of the footballers at UUJ.
