FAR from the madding crowd at Enniscrone, where the West of Ireland signalled the competitive start to the season, former Irish international Liam MacNamara (Woodbrook) returned to the winner's rostrum in Rosslare's Easter weekend competitions.

MacNamara, a two times South of Ireland champion, won the gross prize with 33 points off two in Sunday's singles stableford. He had finished third in the four ball competition on Saturday.
