Women's Football: Laois pulled off a shock 4-19 to 2-10 victory over Meath in Ratoath yesterday to throw the TG4 Leinster football championship wide open.

Before yesterday's game, it was looking like Meath and Dublin would advance to a Leinster final, but Laois have now set themselves up for a more favourable semi-final draw.

Mary Kirwan was the star of the show for Laois yesterday - scoring a personal tally of 2-8. Laois led 2-13 to 0-4 at half-time with the goals from Mary and Martha Kirwan.

Mary Kirwan scored her second goal after the resumption, while Gemma O'Connor also hit the Meath net in the second half.
