JIM McINTYRE sent Kilmarnock into their first Scottish Cup final for 37 years with a dramatic late goal at Easter Road. With extra time looming, McIntyre struck four minutes from time with a typical opportunist goal to finally break the stalemate between the teams.
It was the simplest of strikes but the Kilmarnock fans behind the goal did not care as it means they will have a day out against either Celtic or Falkirk on May 24th.
McIntyre was not born the last time Kilmarnock made a final back in 1960 when they lost to Rangers, but the 24-year-old has now created his own spot of history for the club.
Celtic manager Tommy Burns is keeping his cards close to his chest for one of the most critical poker games of his managerial career tonight.
The Glasgow giants must walk a replay tightrope in the other semi-final against first division outsiders Falkirk at Ibrox.
