Division One: Robbie Keane scored his 14th goal of the season in Wolves' 2-1 win over Tranmere on Friday night (Tranmere's Irish under-21 midfielder Alan Mahon was named man of the match) while on Saturday Niall Quinn's 11th of the season, a 90th-minute header against QPR, gave Sunderland a point at Loftus Road. Seventeen-year-old Dessie Byrne made his debut for Stockport, who he joined last May, on Saturday in a 2-1 home defeat by Bradford.

Division Two: Dubliner Richard Sadlier (19) scored Millwall's second goal in their 3-1 win against Wigan. Not such a good day for Corkman Paul McCarthy who was sent off for Wycombe at Luton. Ray Houghton made his first appearance since the end of September when he came on as a first-half substitute for Reading in their 4-0 win over Wrexham.

Division Three: Wayne O'Sullivan and Kevin Nugent scored in league leaders Cardiff's 4-1 win against Hartlepool.

On The Move: Former Irish youth international Stephen Roche (20) was released by Millwall last week and has joined Huddersfield on a trial period. Alan Lee, who scored Torquay's golden goal winner against Fulham on Tuesday in the Auto Windscreen Shield, has had his loan period at the club extended to a third month but Aston Villa have, so far, rejected Torquay's attempts to sign him on a permanent basis.
