Last season's champions Dungannon will find it difficult to retain their title, on the evidence of Saturday's defeat by Terenure College.

The Ulstermen tried to bulldoze their way to victory, but the lack of variation in their attacks made it easy for Terenure, while at the other end, the Dubliners were creative and forced Dungannon's forwards to concede penalties.

In Richard Governey, Terenure also had an accurate place-kicker, as he chalked up 14 out of a possible 19 points with his boot. Dungannon's out-half Mark Bradley, on the other hand, had a nightmare.
