DONEGAL captain Noel Hegarty has recovered from injury and has been named in the team to play Cork in Sunday's National Football League semifinal at Croke Park.

Hegarty's return is timely given that manager P J McCowan is without two forwards James McHugh, who was injured in the quarter final against Wicklow, and Declan Bonner, who is likely to be out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery for kidney damage.

Hegarty will lead the attack while the talented young Killybegs player John Ban Gallagher gets his chance on the left wing of the attack. Under 21 player Brian Roper links up in the front line with Tony and Manus Boyle.
