Ice Hockey's Wayne Gretzky's passed yet another milestone this week as his historic 1,072nd career goal broke a tie and gave the New York Rangers a 3-1 victory over local rivals New York Islanders.Gretzky, 38, became the all-time leading goalscorer in hockey history, moving past boyhood idol Gordie Howe. The record includes regular season and play-off games in the National Hockey League and the defunct World Hockey Association.Already the holder of virtually every NHL single-season and career-scoring record, the reputed boyfriend of teenage tennis star Anna Kournikova, was stuck on 1,071 since February 4th, missing 12 games due to a neck injury. But on Monday night he skated off the goal line and tapped his own rebound past goaltender Wade Flaherty for his ninth goal of the season.
