A round up including news from the US Tour and Challenge Tour.
US TOUR:Mathew Goggin carded a rollercoaster even-par 72 to retain the lead after his second round at the Memorial tournament in Dublin, Ohio.
Goggin made a dream start, rolling in four birdies in the first five holes, but he struggled at times after that in strong, testing winds at Muirfield Village.
The Australian posted a seven-under 137 halfway total, one stroke ahead of Jerry Kelly (72) with half the field back in the clubhouse, while a group three strokes behind included 2006 United States Open champion Geoff Ogilvy.
Goggin's card had seven birdies, five bogeys and a double bogey, a couple of errors caused by his lack of familiarity with the course in his first appearance at the Jack Nicklaus-hosted event.
SENIORS TOUR:Eamonn Darcy ignored the advice of playing partner Carl Mason to post a birdie on the last hole and sign for a four-under-par 68 on day one of the inaugural Parkridge Polish Seniors Championship.
Darcy, who trails Bob Cameron of England by one stroke at Krakow Golf and Country Club, was urged by last year's Order of Merit winner Mason to attack the 18th green with his second shot - but instead chose to lay up short.
That cautious approach paid dividends, as Darcy - who has finished second seven times but never won on the Seniors Tour - chipped on and rolled in the putt from 12 feet to give himself a chance of ending his barren streak.
CHALLENGE TOUR:Richard Kilpatrick of Northern Ireland is tied for third on nine under par after dropping just one shot yesterday for a fine second-round 65 in the Oceânico Group Pro-Am Challenge at the Marriott Worsley Park Hotel outside Manchester.
That has the Northern Irishman four shots behind the leader, Raphael De Sousa of Switzerland, whose accuracy from the fairways saw him take the lead at the halfway mark in the second successive tournament he has played in after shooting a six under par 64.
A dropped shot on his penultimate hole, the only green he missed, denied the Swiss player a repeat of his flawless opening round 63, but seven birdies took the joint overnight leader one shot clear of Italian Alessandro Tadini.
LET TOUR:Michelle Wie remains in contention in the German Open in Munich after she added a three-under-par 69 to her opening 68.
Wie (18) reached halfway on seven under par for a share of sixth place, three shots behind England's Lora Fairclough, who led at 10 under after a 68.
Italian Veronica Zorzi was the next best player on nine under par, with three players tied for third on eight under.
Martina Gillen is on five under following a second round 71, while Rebecca Coakley missed the cut after a 73.
AMATEUR SENIORS:Portmarnock's Adrian Morrow fired a flawless final-round 67 to power clear of the field and capture the Portuguese Tourist Board-sponsored Irish Seniors Amateur Open Championship at Westport Golf Club.
The former Irish international, who played 39 Home International matches between 1975 and 2000, trailed Jimmy Clynch of Laytown & Bettystown by four strokes entering the final round, but that margin was cancelled after just five holes of the final round.
Clynch played solidly over those opening holes but Morrow burst from the traps with a birdie on the fourth, followed by an eagle two on the fifth.
Nine straight pars followed for the Portmarnock man before a grandstand finish: birdie, par, birdie, birdie.
Clynch continued his solid play and finished runner-up and also picked trophy for the leading Over-65s player.
