Sandown have added four Grade One races to their Whitbread Gold Cup meeting following the cancellation of the Cheltenham Festival.

The Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase and Stayers' Hurdle have not been transferred in name, but new races run over similar distances will be staged on April 27th and 28th.

On the Friday the £100,000 Tote Gold Trophy Chase over an extended three miles will be run along with the three-mile £65,000 Select Hurdle. Saturday's card contains the other two new races, the Championship Hurdle over two miles and the Championship Chase also over two miles.
