Driving rain and storm force winds made it a difficult night, for football but Harps adapted to the conditions better and dominated proceedings in the first half.

A brave save from Robert Ford denied Stephen Kelly in the 15th minute, and even when Speak managed to beat the keeper in the 37th minute, Brendan Place was on hand to knock the ball off the line.

Harps took the lead in the 40th minute when Davy Dowling swept a Paddy McGrenaghan pass into the bottom corner.

A minute of madness seven minutes into the second half sealed the game for Harps.

First, Home Farm's keeper Ford completely misjudged Speak's cross which rolled under his foot into the net 30 seconds later, Stephen McGuinness who had just come on as a sub was sent off for kicking Kieran O'Kane.

Harps made the extra man pay in the 59th minute when Speak tapped in a rebound from six yards
