SLIGO SFC FINAL: Tourlestrane 1-8 Eastern Harps 0-7:SHANE DUNNE dashed Eastern Harps' hopes of becoming the first team in 20 years to win back-to-back Sligo titles with a cracking second-half goal in this lacklustre game at Markievicz Park yesterday.

Midfielder Dunne took a perfect pass from John Marren to fire past Harps’ Brendan McHugh in the 41st minute to put Tourlestrane five points ahead.

Paul Taylor got Harps off to a lively start with a couple of points from frees but a John Marren point from a free two minutes into stoppage time at the end of the half gave Tourlestrane a three-points to two interval lead.

Tourlestrane were transformed in the second half with Brian Kennedy excelling at right corner back. Shaun Dorrian and substitute Shane Gallagher missed goal chances for Harps as the champions tried desperately to get back into the game.
