IN AN entertaining senior hurling challenge game at Ballinasloe last night, Dublin came from behind to gain a narrow victory in injury time.

After a good start in which corner forward Gerry Ennis scored 1-1, Dublin had to play second fiddle to the home side for the remainder of the opening half and trailed by 1-5 to 1-10 at the interval.

Following an exchange of points, Dublin shot seven points without reply to draw level with Galway with only seven minutes remaining. However, once again afflicted by their inability to take scores from the easiest of positions, and in particular from placed balls, Dublin recorded 16 wides in the hour compared to the home side's seven. In injury time Brian McMahon got Dublin's second goal.
