Bray manager Pat Devlin was ordered from the dug-out, Sligo midfielder Neil Ogden was sent off, four players were booked and two Bray players had to be taken to Sligo General Hospital with suspected broken ankles.
That was the fall-out from this bad-tempered relegation clash at the Show-grounds on Saturday night as Sligo Rovers and Bray had to settle for a point apiece.
An angry Devlin got his marching orders after 42 minutes when he protested too strongly about some of the referee's decisions. Bray had Jason Byrne and Aaron Lynch stretched off during a bruising first half and the Bray boss clearly felt his players weren't getting sufficient protection from the match official. There was further controversy after 70 minutes when Ogden, who just recently returned from a five-match ban, was shown the red card after a clash with Jody Lynch.
Bray had the better of it in a football sense, but wasted a number of clear-cut chances.
Colm Tresson blazed over in the 56th minute after Sligo goalkeeper Nicky Broujos parried an effort from Glen Brien. Then, two minutes into injury time, substitute Richie Parsons shot wide of an open goal from just six yards.
Sligo produced little in the way of attacking invention and a snap shot by Sean Flannery in the 88th minute was the closest they came to breaking the deadlock.
