Devin's late score earns a draw

Newbridge College 14 Presentation Bray 14

AN EARL Devin try deep into injury-time saw Presentation Bray claim an unlikely draw against Newbridge College at Coolmine RFC yesterday. Presentation had soaked up pressure in the second half when Devin took a pass inside the 22 and touched down, with Dave Downey converting.

Newbridge’s Peter Osborne failed to convert two penalties before he went in under the posts and he converted on the half hour. On the stroke of half-time Downey pulled a penalty wide.

Presentation were level on 41 minutes when Cormac O’Meara struck off a rolling maul, with Downey converting. But three minutes later Osborne powered over before adding the difficult conversion. Devin made the crucial touchdown with moments remaining.
