Golf:Former Walker Cup team-mates, Rhys Davies and David Horsey, were leaders of the pack heading into the final round of the Trophée Hassan II in Agadir in Morocco.

Defending champion Davies struggled early in his round but got back on track to sign for a third round 68. Horsey went one better, including holing his second shot at the par four sixth, as the pair lead on 10 under.

The leading duo, Walker Cup team mates in 2007, are one stroke ahead of South Africa's Jaco Van Zyl (65) and two ahead of George Coetzee (69), also from South Africa, and Mikko Ilonen (69) from Finland.

First round leader Peter Lawrie had a strange day before signing for a level par 72 to remain on three under.

The Dubliner recorded two consecutive double-bogeys at the fifth and sixth but was able to balance the books with four birdies.

Michael Hoey was a stroke further back after shooting 70, while Paul McGinley lost ground when a 74 dropped him back to one over.

Damien McGrane also carded a 74 to end the day four over, but the last person he would have expected for company was Darren Clarke.

Clarke started the day on five under and just one shot off the lead, but the wheels came well and truly off.

He eventually signed for a disastrous 81 with a card riddled with errors, not least two triple bogeys and double bogey plus four further bogeys. In between there were three birdies but this was a tough day at the office for the big Dungannon man.
