Gary Cullen (23), the current Irish amateur international from Belvoirstown, won the 50th annual Midland Scratch Cup at Carlow yesterday by a clear three strokes. Cullen was level at 215 with former Irish international Eddie Power (Kilkenny), however Cullen's four-over-par 74 in the final round was good enough for a three-shot victory over Power.
