GALWAY SFC/Corofin 1-11 Miltown 0-10:COROFIN, DEFEATED finalists last year when they were going for a three-in-a-row, qualified for the Galway SFC final with a comprehensive win over a disappointing Milltown side at Tuam Stadium yesterday.

Corofin edged 0-5 to 0-4 in front just before the interval thanks to Justin Burke. He doubled the lead 18 seconds after the restart and got the crucial goal after 37 minutes. Michael Martin and Mark Hehir pulled back points for Milltown, Corofin were never threatened.

Meanwhile, in the remaining quarter-final, Mountbellew/ Moylough drew with Tuam Stars 0-10 to 2-4, with Shane Gaffney getting two goals for Tuam in the opening half.
